: (1) If the offender who has to pay compensation does not pay the amount of compensation within the period for which compensation should be paid, the property of such offender shall be confiscated and compensation shall be paid to the victim.
(2) If the compensation amount is not collected during the execution according to sub-section (1) or if the offender who is required to pay the compensation does not pay the compensation, he shall be imprisoned at the rate of three hundred rupees per day.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act and other laws, imprisonment under sub-section (2) shall not exceed four years.
